In the Spring of 2020 FOX NY’s iconic journalist, Lisa Evers, used the 2nd Floor of Edgewater Hall as the backdrop for her interview with iNTeLL & Pxwer (of 2nd Generation Wu), Sun God, and Young Dirty Bastard after the release of their single “7.O.D.” The young rappers are the sons of Wu-Tang Clan rappers U-God, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, respectively. In the interview, Evers discusses what it was like to grow up Wu and the challenges presented in starting a career in the shadow of such influential fathers.
Singer Gia Bella released her single “Bombs Away” in 2014. In the music video for the track, Gia can be seen on Staten Island. Specifically, you can find her in the loft at 691 Bay Street. The clip, produced by Monstar Films, is just one in a series of music videos set on Staten Island by the production company.
The music video for Brodie Jaymz’s “Here We Go” was partially shot right here on Staten Island last October. You might recognize the restaurant in the opening of the video as Stapleton’s Gatsby’s on the Bay. After that the video shows drone footage that rides down Bay Street. There are also some great shots of the NYC skyline.
Blink is an original story written, directed, and produced by Kevin Rogers (Backslash Bomb Productions), a native Staten Islander. Rogers described the film on his IndieGoGo page by stating that, “Blink is a story about people trying to survive as the world they know slips away from them. It’s about the importance of friendship when you don’t know who you can trust and the lengths you will go to protect the people you love, even when you don’t know what the threat is.”
Young Lucid is ready to release his first music video off of his album “Lucid Dreams”. Young Lucid is signed to Dock Street Records and has been working hard on his single for the past year. The single is being released through OneRPM and will be promoted by Dock Street Media.
Staten Island’s very own Rhys Thomas and Colin Jost teamed up to create a film reminiscent of American Pie meets Project X meets Super Bad. In being that Jost is a member of the Saturday Night Live cast, and wrote the screen play for “Staten Island Summer”, the film is quirky and very funny.

Catch of the Day, a new film by Fuzz on the Lens production recently wrapped production. As seen in the trailer below, a portion of the film was shot at Amendment 18 Bar and Grill. (formerly Dock Street) Space, which is the cellar of the historic Edgewater Hall, has also welcomed film productions like Mike Birbiglia’s Sleepwalk With Me, television shows like Mob Wives, and music videos like Method Man’s “The Meth Lab”
